University City Adopt-A-Highway...
To volunteer, please, see the Contact us page or send an e-mail to adopt@ucca-news.org.
UCCA is proud to be part of the Adopt-A-Highway group.
UCCA needed to spread mulch over the Adopt-A-Highway
project at Park and Ride on Governor in early June. Longtime community activist Greg Zinser rounded up his “Over 30” basketball playing friends to help, along with their sons. Many thanks to the men and boys who worked hard and got dirty doing it. Scripps Ranch has a group called The Old Pros, men who work for the good of the community. UCCA hopes the “Over 30” league assumes that role. Many thanks to Greg and the other volunteers.

The Jacaranda trees at Park and Ride are doing well,
thanks to volunteers who water the trees monthly:
Steve and Susan Foster, Paul Croft, Sue DeVol,
Michelle Yeend, Verena Fisher, and Sandy Lippe. The
trees were a gift last year from The Village Garden Club
of La Jolla with grant money support from Supervisor
Ron Roberts.
